SPC Coded Magnetic Actuation Non Contact

IDEM Safety SwitchesIDEM SPC coded magnetic actuator switchers have a tolerance up to 14mm. Specified to 80C but designed to work up to 100C, these switches will operate with most safety relays.

The IDEM SPC has a universal fitting established 22mm fixing footprint suitable for most general applications and is able to withstand environments where high humidity or hose down is required.

The IDEM SPC has a durable polyester housing with a 14mm wide sensing and high tolerance to misalignment. Up to: Ple ISO 13849-1 SIL EN 62061 Cat 4 EN 954-1 safety standards.

The IDEM SPC has 2NC, 1NO circuits with a high switching life and no moving parts. Quick connect versions of the SPC are available as well as switches with & without LED indication.

Application

Coded Non Contact switches are designed to interlock hinged, sliding or removal guard doors. They are specifically advantageous when:

  1. poor guard alignment exists
  2. anti-tamper is required
  3. high hygiene requirements exist e.g. food industry hose down
  4. a long mechanical life is required (no moving or touching parts). When used in combination with a Dual Channel Safety Relay, Coded Non Contact Switches can be used to provide protection up to Category 4 and Ple to ISO13849-1.

Operation

All IDEM Coded Non Contact Safety Switches are designed to conform to IEC 60947-5-3 and be used as directed by EN1088, EN ISO12100 and EN 60204-1. They have coded magnetic sensing which provides a wide (>10mm) sensing distance and provides a high tolerance to misalignment after sensing. They can be fitted behind stainless steel fittings and can operate in extreme environments of temperature and moisture.
